Job summary

UNSW is inviting applications for a Research Associate in the School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering. You will investigate mineral demand implications of scaling AI hardware, using material flow analysis and industrial ecology to assess environmental and resource impacts.

This fixed-term, full-time role is based in Kensington–Sydney, Australia, reporting to Professor Saleem Ali. It includes opportunities to publish and collaborate with partners while supervising students as required.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related discipline or equivalent research experience.
• Strong record of high-quality academic research and publications.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and in teams.
