Job summary

Leidos is seeking a software developer intern to join the FS2 Aero team in the Aeronautical Navigation Office. The role focuses on design and coding of software solutions for web applications, using languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and C#.

The intern will contribute to DevOps practices in an Agile environment and collaborate on integrating open-source components. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a bachelor's program, has coding experience, and aims to grow in cloud

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program.
US Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
Experience with JavaScript, Python, or C# development framework.
Experience of working with web-enabled applications.
Proactive self-starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in software development or software integration in cloud, SOA, Web-Services or virtualization environments.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Clear and efficient communication with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will involve building software coding knowledge and modifying GOTS code to integrate open-source solutions for a web application.
Work with C#/Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Shell scripting.
Create and document new and existing functionality in GitLab and apply DevOps practices to deliver features in Agile.
Participate in Agile software development initiatives and plan sprints using Jira/Confluence.
Collaborate to assess tickets and ensure testing and delivery per acceptance criteria.
