Job summary

AV is seeking an Aeromechanical Engineer II to join an air vehicle IPT team for small UAV systems used in military and commercial applications. You will perform vehicle design from initial concept through production-ready stages and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering groups to resolve design challenges.

The role requires hands-on experience with SolidWorks, machining and composites, plus proficiency in engineering analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with machining, composites and plastics.
• Familiar with design documentation standards and change control.
• Experience with engineering validation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle design from concept to production-ready design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary groups to resolve design challenges.
• Conduct informal and formal presentations.
• Use engineering principles to assess design deficiencies and impacts.
• Complete tasks within schedule and budget.
• Other duties as assigned.
