Job summary

AV is seeking an experienced engineer to drive vehicle design from initial concepts through production-ready details in Moorpark, CA. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, resolve design challenges, and present findings using solid engineering principles.

This role requires hands-on testing experience and adherence to project schedules. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in a technical design capacity, proficiency in SolidWorks, and familiarity with GD&T and standard documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in a technical design role within engineering.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design processes and analysis tools.
• Experience with machining, composites, injection molding, sheet metal and assemblies.
• Experience with mechanical, lab, flight and environmental testing.
• Knowledge of GD&T and industry design standards.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle design from concept to production-ready state.
• Resolve design challenges and coordinate across engineering groups.
• Present designs in informal and formal settings.
• Assess deficiencies using engineering principles and assess changes.
• Complete tasks within schedule and budget.
