Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Assembly and Test Inspector for the MRO Commercial Engine Center in Jupiter, FL. The role operates on a 3rd shift (midnight to 7:00 am) with 6.5 hours paid for 8 hours.

You will inspect engine assemblies and components using a range of tools and procedures to ensure quality and conformity to specifications. The position emphasizes dimensional and visual inspections, interpretation of technical data, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED
• 2 years formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing
• A&P License (preferred)
• Experience working from complex drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate and set up power systems
• Experience with Solumina, SFWF, or similar programs
• Ability to obtain and maintain certifications to operate powered industrial vehicles

Responsibilities

• Use power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques
• Utilize surface plate work or standard measuring techniques to verify dimensions
• Accepting or rejecting material based on findings
• Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings
• Plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and equipment
• Accepting or referring material for rework or quality review
• Use fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines
• Record results and perform necessary mathematical computations for nonconformance
• Follow procedures to perform in-line checks and verifications of dimensions
• May be assigned additional tasks within scope and skill level
