Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembler & Tester – 1st Shift in Grand Rapids, MI, at a pay of $24.00 per hour with hours 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market considerations.

You will assemble and test electro‑mechanical assemblies for aircraft, use test equipment, inspect components, and ensure timely delivery. A minimum of two years in mechanical assembly and a high school diploma are expected; IPC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical assembly experience or manufacturing experience with testing.
• Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Grand Rapids, MI will be considered.
• This position requires access to export‑controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test detailed electro‑mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on production, prototype, and/or returned electronic motors and actuators for aircraft.
• Use test equipment to perform in-process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
• Ensure assemblies are built to written instructions or blueprint specifications and completed to scheduled delivery dates. Prioritize work to ensure business goals are met.
• Perform lock wire or safety wire processes.
• Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, and other basic hand tools as required.
• Perform visual inspection, identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures.
• Other duties as assigned. May be reassigned to cover workload in other areas of production as necessary.
