Job summary

Liberty Latin America seeks an Aerial Restoration Construction Technician to lead repair and field construction of HFC and fiber networks across Liberty Puerto Rico. You will perform outdoor construction on aerial and underground plant, including cable placement, strand installation, lashing, pole attachments, and related work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities include supporting other OSP crews, maintaining safety standards, documenting work, and operating bucket trucks and tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; associate degree preferred.
• 1-2 years telecom/construction experience.
• Experience with ladders, poles or bucket trucks.
• Ability to read basic construction prints/maps.
• Valid Puerto Rico Driver’s License Category 8-9 within first month.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs, outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Perform aerial telecommunications construction on poles and infrastructure.
• Install and replace strand, coaxial cable, fiber cable and hardware.
• Conduct cable lashing and de-lashing activities.
• Manage pole attachments, clamps, brackets, anchors and related hardware.
• Assist with make-ready and pole-transfer activities.
• Maintain proper cable clearances and attachment requirements.
• Document completed work, materials used and field conditions.
• Follow safety standards, traffic controls and PPE requirements.
• Support other OSP teams and emergency restoration as needed.
• Operate bucket trucks, ladders and power tools as directed.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
