Job summary

FiberTel, LLC, a Quanta Services subsidiary, seeks an Aerial Construction Lineman for our Portland, OR location. The role involves reading blueprints, installing fiber and cables, transferring poles, and ensuring safety. Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are required.

The position is full-time and outdoors, with a typical 40-hour week in varied weather. A valid CDL and 2+ years in aerial construction are preferred, along with the ability to travel if needed and to work flexible

Qualifications

• Valid CDL driver's license with a good driving record.
• High School Diploma from accredited school or its equivalent.
• Two years of experience in aerial construction or telecom trade.
• May be required to work long or alternate hours for efficient operation.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to plan repairs or pole transfers.
• Install and maintain fiber, cable, and phone equipment.
• Locate and repair issues quickly and safely.
• Place, transfer and remove poles in accordance with DOT rules.
• Complete ticket paperwork for billing and invoicing.
• Load materials and perform related work as required.
