Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Final Assembly Technician to perform final assembly and test functions on UAVs and UASs. You will work from engineering and production documentation to assemble aircraft, support equipment, and ground stations, ensuring airworthiness.

This hands-on, fast-paced role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication with engineering, and ability to read drawings and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years assembling small complex mechanical and electrical systems in a production environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and bills of materials.

Responsibilities

• Follows shop safety requirements and policies.
• Completes production documentation for accuracy.
• Assembles UAV/UAS aircraft structures and subassemblies.
• Operates precision measuring and test equipment.
• Communicates challenges with leadership and engineering.
• Maintains a clean and orderly workstation and production environment.
• Provides recommendations for improvement to management and engineering.
• Inspects components for damage, defects, corrosion, or wear to ensure airworthiness.
• Recommends and performs replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment.
• Supports problem solving activities for technical issues.
