Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Quality Inspector to ensure high-quality UAS/UAV components. You will inspect components, subassemblies, and finished products, read drawings, and apply quality standards with meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements include 4+ years of inspection experience, GD&T, ESD, and aerospace quality practices. The role includes growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in quality inspection or related field.
• Knowledge of Optical Payloads and aerospace QA practices.
• Understanding of quality assurance principles and inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on assemblies and subassemblies at multiple stages of production, including in-process and final.
• Perform receiving inspection to ensure vendor quality and specifications.
• Read and interpret drawings, engineering change documents, and inspection instructions.
• Use inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, gauges to measure and document results.
• Identify, document and process non-conforming material per procedures.
• Support resolution of quality-related issues and communicate findings.
• Maintain accurate records and databases for non-conformities and audits.
• Conduct internal audits of selected areas, processes and procedures.
