Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Final Assembly Technician to perform final assembly and test functions on UAVs/UAS and related ground stations. You will work from engineering and production docs to assemble structures and subassemblies, operate precision equipment, and support engineering with technical issues.

The role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to read complex drawings and BOMs, and effective communication with teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of assembly experience with small mechanical/electrical systems in production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, blueprints and BOMs.
• Detail-oriented with strong teamwork.
• Proficient with Windows PC word processing/spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Follows shop safety requirements and policies.
• Completes production documentation accurately.
• Assembles UAV/UAS structures and subassemblies (fuselages, wings, ground stations).
• Operates precision measuring/test equipment.
• Communicates challenges with leadership and engineering.
• Maintains a clean, orderly workstation and production area.
• Suggests improvements to management and engineering.
• Inspects components per specifications for airworthiness; recommends repairs or replacements.
• Supports problem solving for technical issues.
