Job summary

Ayres in Madison, WI, seeks a full-time Geospatial Technician to join the Aerial Mapping group. You will work on lidar processing, orthoimagery, and high-accuracy mapping from UAS, contributing to data quality and project requirements.

The role requires a degree in geography or related field and at least three years of practical experience with geospatial processing software. Office located in Madison; on-site with a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in geography or related discipline (cartography, GIS, survey, remote sensing).
• Minimum of three years of experience in at least one of the listed technical skills.
• Familiarity with CAD-based platforms and geospatial processing/editing software for lidar, aerial imagery, and/or stereo-compilation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Aerial Mapping team with lidar processing and editing.
• Assist with orthoimagery processing and stereo-compilation.
• Contribute to high-accuracy mapping from UAS and ensure data quality.
