Job summary

RES is seeking a Geospatial Technician to collect and process drone-based remote sensing and survey data across wind, solar, and transmission projects. The role involves fieldwork, cartography support, data analysis, and GIS database management.

Travel to project sites is required (51-75%), with a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. FAA Part 107 license is required and prior drone data experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Collects lidar and photogrammetric data utilizing drones.
• Processes and analyzes photogrammetric and lidar data.
• Must travel domestically 51-75%.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License required.
• 1+ years drone-based data collection or GIS/CAD data processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to project sites as a drone pilot and collect remote sensing and survey data.
• Support survey, cartography, data manipulation and geographic information analysis.
• Provide metadata and QA/QC for data products.
• Assist with field data collection and database management for wind, solar, transmission, and energy storage projects.
