Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months verifiable experience as a lineworker or recent lineman training completion.
• Valid driver''s license required.
• Valid DOT Health Card required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, safety regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to communicate and listen effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand tools and vehicles safely.

Responsibilities

• Set poles and place anchors for overhead telecommunication lines.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair overhead power lines and equipment.
• Climb poles and towers and use bucket trucks to access power lines.
• Test electrical equipment and components for proper operation.
• Read and interpret technical plans, blueprints and diagrams.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations including training requirements.
• Complete paperwork as needed.
