Job summary

MP NEXLEVEL LLC in Dodge Center, MN is seeking a skilled lineman to install, maintain, and repair overhead power lines. You will set poles and anchors and use bucket trucks to access lines, reading blueprints and following safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of lineworker experience or completion of a lineman training program, valid driver's license and a DOT health card. This role involves outdoor work in varied weather and customer-facing tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months verifiable lineworker experience or completion of lineman training program
  • Valid drivers license
  • Valid DOT Health Card
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety and industry standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand tools, equipment and vehicles safely

Responsibilities

  • Set poles and place anchors for overhead telecommunication lines
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair overhead power lines and associated equipment
  • Climb poles and towers and use bucket trucks to access power lines
  • Test electrical equipment and components for proper operation
  • Read and interpret technical plans, blueprints and diagrams
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations including safety trainings
  • Complete paperwork and maintain records as needed

Description

  • Follow all company and departmental procedures and regulations including all safety requirements
  • Safety training as required by position
  • Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed

Pay: $23-$35/hr based on relevant years of experience

Essential Education and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 months verifiable experience as a lineworker OR recent completion of linemen/lineworker training program
  • Valid drivers license
  • Valid DOT Health Card
  • Possess strong knowledge of electrical safety, safety regulations and industry standards
  • Ability to communicate and listen effectively with customers, employees, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
Preferred Skill
  • Class A Driver’s License (CDL)
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to endure activity involved with the job which may include prolonged and repeated lifting, bending, crouching, climbing, kneeling, reaching, holding, standing and walking
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
