Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is seeking an Aerial Lineman to build and maintain aerial and underground telecom infrastructure in field environments across the region.

The role requires hands-on experience with aerial line work, heavy equipment operation, and strict adherence to safety standards. A valid CDL and willingness to travel are preferred, with strong teamwork and a proactive approach to learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman or similar role.
• Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation and safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Planning and initiating projects.
• Interacting with customers, utility owners and officials.
• Ensuring OSHA and customer safety requirements are met.
• Assisting in construction of new aerial and underground services and upgrades.
• Training and mentoring of Aerial Groundman.
• Tree trimming or route clearing.
• Operating heavy equipment like Digger and Bucket Truck.

Job description

TheAerial Lineman builds and maintains aerial telephone systems which can consist of aerial and underground facilities.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

• Ability to work outdoors and to work in all types of outdoor weather.
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift as needed.
• Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing skilled movement.

• Ability to travel away from home when needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Planning and initiating projects.
• Interaction with customers, utility owners and governmental officials.
• Establishing and conforming to OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• Assist in the construction of new aerial and underground services and service upgrades.
• Training and mentoring of Aerial Groundman.
• Tree trimming or route clearing.
• Use of care of specialized hand tools and required equipment.
• Operating heavy equipment such as Digger and Bucket Truck.

Education and/or Experience:

• Work Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman, preferred.
• Industry Knowledge:Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation, safety regulations and work methods associated with aerial line work.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Demonstrated field experience working with Aerial crews.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of electricity, pole-line materials, the proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in line construction and maintenance, be familiar with the aerial safety codes and practices, and work methods associated with aerial line work.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain required equipment and tools.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Abide all company and manufacturer safety procedures and industry safety standards, in addition to attending mandatory safety meetings.
