Job summary

PUSH, Inc is a privately owned premier communications and power utility contractor headquartered in Rice Lake, WI. The Aerial Lineman will build and maintain aerial and underground telecom systems, work outdoors in all weather, and travel as needed.

The role requires knowledge of aerial line work, safety standards, and teamwork in a field setting; CDL preferred. Competitive pay, benefits, and strong company support are offered.

Qualifications

• Work experience: A minimum of two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman, preferred.
• Industry knowledge: Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation, safety regulations and work methods associated with aerial line work.

• Establishing and conforming to OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• Assist in the construction of new aerial and underground services and service upgrades.
• Training and mentoring of Aerial Groundman.

• Use of care of specialized hand tools and required equipment.
• Operating heavy equipment such as Digger and Bucket Truck.

TheAerial Lineman builds and maintains aerial telephone systems which can consist of aerial and underground facilities.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

• Ability to work outdoors and to work in all types of outdoor weather.
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Demonstrated field experience working with Aerial crews.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of electricity, pole-line materials, the proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in line construction and maintenance, be familiar with the aerial safety codes and practices, and work methods associated with aerial line work.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain required equipment and tools.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Abide all company and manufacturer safety procedures and industry safety standards, in addition to attending mandatory safety meetings.
