Job summary

ElectriCom Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a capable utility construction lineman for aerial and ground telecom work at construction/service sites. You will operate boom trucks, install poles, read plans, and help maintain overhead fiber networks.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years’ experience in the utility/construction industry.
• Driver’s license is required, with clean driving record.
• CDL strongly desired.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a boom truck, climb poles as needed and utilize standard tools of the trade.
• Lead and motivate crew to meet safety requirements, project specifications and daily production goals.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines.
• Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Install poles and place wires and cables.
• Keep detailed records of work activity.
• Work aloft using ladders or aerial devices.
