Job summary

FiberTel, LLC in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced Aerial Lineman. The role involves installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, climbing poles, and working from bucket trucks to support the company’s fiber optic network deployment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Class A CDL, pass pre-employment screening, and be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. This is a full-time, hourly position with opportunities for overtime and safety training.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to climb poles up to 40 feet.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs regularly.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, and safety gear.
• Safely operate bucket trucks, digger Derrick, excavators and related equipment.
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and barriers.
• Flag traffic when required and maintain proper safety zones.
• Understand separation and clearance regulations.
• Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations.
