Job summary

Fiber Network Services seeks an experienced Aerial Lineman to join our Hendersonville, NC crew. You will read HFC maps, climb poles, and perform overhead line work safely while coordinating with crew members.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, ability to pass drug and background checks, and willingness to be on-call. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HFC design.
• Ability to read and understand technical instruction.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others and work within a team environment.
• Possession of a valid Driver's license.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds or more.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Read HFC maps / prints to understand project scope.
• Climb poles, utilizing Gaffs, Ladder and a Bucket Truck to perform work where required.
• Maintain visual and vocal contact with other crew members as well as all moving or stationary people, vehicles, and objects in order to guarantee safe movement coordination.
• Recognize and enforce Safe working environments in Public Right-of-Way environments to include worksite traffic-control best practices.
• Produce accurate post-construction as-built mark-up maps. Typically, through red-lined PDF files.
• Provide daily production reports via email/excel or additional tracking methods.
• Maintaining aerial specifications when placing overhead lines.
