Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking an experienced Aerial Lift Trimmer to trim, prune, and remove trees with bucket truck support. You will follow safety rules, prepare materials, and perform professional maintenance near utility lines.

Requires high school diploma, prior vegetation management or related experience, ability to work at heights, and willingness to travel for storm restoration. Health insurance and 401(k) benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations.
• Must be able to identify tree species.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and procedures when near electrical conductors and aerial techniques.
• Must work at heights in varying and adverse weather conditions.
• Must possess physical strength, balance, depth perception and hearing.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must administer emergency rescue techniques, including tree rescue and first aid.
• Must remove yourself quickly from danger.
• Must wear necessary PPE.
• Must travel for storm restoration work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and help enforce safety rules.
• Prepare truck and materials for daily operations.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed by supervision.
• Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches.
• Clean up and dispose of debris.
• Maintain and track tools and equipment used daily.
• Practice climbing and tree maintenance skills to improve.
• Assist other crew members in daily activities.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
