Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer in Ottumwa, IA. Responsibilities include trimming, pruning and removing trees with bucket truck assistance. Prior aerial lift experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

The role demands strong safety practices, ability to work at heights, and occasional travel for storm restoration. A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred; background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal (safety-critical).
• Able to identify tree species and assess electrical hazards near conductors.
• Must possess physical strength, balance, depth perception and hearing for instructions.
• Willing to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed.
• Background check and drug screen required; I-9 compliant; E-Verify participant.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules on site.
• Prepare truck and materials daily as directed by Foreperson.
• Perform tree maintenance and removal as directed.
• Clear and trim trees away from utility lines; remove debris.
