Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking an experienced Aerial Lift Trimmer to perform trimming, pruning, and removal of trees using bucket trucks and related equipment. The role requires prior aerial lift experience and a High School diploma or equivalent.

The position emphasizes safety, tool maintenance, and collaboration with crew members. A background in vegetation management or related fields is valued, with storm work as needed.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Must identify tree species.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors and aloft.
• Must work at heights under varying weather conditions.
• Must have physical strength, balance, depth perception, and listening ability.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must implement emergency rescue techniques including tree rescue and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and support crew safety.
• Prepare truck and materials as directed.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as assigned.
• Clear/trim trees and brush from around utility lines.
• Dispose of debris and maintain tools/equipment.
• Observe and develop climbing/tree maintenance skills.
• Assist crew members in daily activities.
• Ensure safety of workers and public in work areas.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
