Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Swansea, SC is seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer/Climber to prune and remove trees and perform line clearance near utility lines. Candidates should have at least six months of professional trimmer experience, with preference for those familiar with tree removals and hazard trees.

A valid driver’s license is preferred; Class B CDL is a plus. This full-time position offers health, vision and dental insurance, plus the option to enroll in the company 401(k).

Qualifications

• Six months of professional line clearance trimming experience is required.
• Experience with tree removals and hazard trees preferred.
• CDL or driver's license preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and help enforce safety rules.
• Prepare truck and materials daily with Foreperson.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed.
• Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines near hazards.
• Clean up and dispose of all debris.
• Maintain and track tools and equipment used daily.
• Continue to improve climbing and tree maintenance skills.
• Assist other crew members in daily tasks.
• Safeguard coworkers and the public by enforcing safety, keeping area clean, and communicating with team.
• Perform storm-related duties as needed.
