Qualifications

3+ years of sensor operation and airborne data collection.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 8 weeks at a time.
Understanding of aviation, GIS, remote sensing, or GPS survey methods.

Responsibilities

Collect airborne lidar and imagery data from fixed wing aircraft.
Understand project requirements and priorities.
Work directly with pilots to evaluate weather and environmental conditions during data acquisition.
Coordinate with acquisition, initial processing, and project management teams.
Mentor and train junior staff and develop SOPs.
