Job summary

Air Methods in Sylacauga, AL is seeking an experienced paramedic to provide high‑quality pre-hospital advanced life support as part of our Community Based Services. You’ll perform care from initial contact through transfer, maintain detailed documentation, and operate within state-defined scopes.

Minimum three years in a busy 911 system is required; flight experience and ongoing professional development are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system.
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care transfer to the accepting medical facility; maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Practice within defined scope of practice as established by state regulations and Air Methods CBS; maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, aviation and safety training; attend a minimum of six educational programs annually.
