Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction, Inc. is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial II to support the Aerial Telecom Crew.

The role emphasizes hands-on, outdoor work, ensuring materials and equipment are ready for daily operations and contributing to safe, efficient installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom cables. Ideal candidates may have 0-3 years of labor experience in telecommunications, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to become a pole climber.

Qualifications

• To be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license (cannot be Provisional) with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to become a certified pole climber.
• 0-3 years of labor experience, preferably in telecommunications.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in solo and team environments.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed to ensure efficient operations.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment under the direction of the crew leader.
• Ensure door-tag notifications and resident alerts for construction activities are completed before work begins each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations.
• Perform manual excavation and minor repairs with the use of shovels and mechanical tools as required.
• Direct and flag traffic flow according to local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call or after-hours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions to meet project deadlines.
• Assist with basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
