Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems on site. You will oversee safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding less experienced team members.

This hands-on role requires comfort working outdoors in all weather, climbing structures, and traveling for storm response on short notice. A valid driver’s license and 3+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Valid state driver's license (not provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• DOT medical exam clearance resulting in a valid medical card.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Pole climber certification or willingness to become certified.
• CDL Class A driver license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and traffic flows smoothly while on the job.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires working in all types of weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind and other inclement weather. Must be comfortable performing hands-on, physically demanding work in an outdoor field environment.

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
