Under the Project Manager’s direction, the Aerial Foreman assigns daily work, monitors safety and quality, tracks production, and supports the installation, maintenance, repair, transfer, and removal of aerial telecommunications lines and equipment. The position is based in either Statham or Austell, Georgia, and regularly works around traffic, energized lines, bucket trucks, pole-setting equipment & other construction hazards.The regular schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with travel to job sites throughout Georgia. Operational needs may require extended hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, or overnight travel.2. **Responsibilities****Aerial Construction & Site Operations:*** Lead and work alongside assigned Aerial Laborers and equipment operators to install, maintain, repair, transfer and remove aerial fiber-optic & coaxial cable systems.* Review construction documents, plan daily crew assignments and confirm required materials, tools, equipment & traffic-control devices are available before work begins.* Coordinate job materials, tools, equipment, and aerial construction activities, including pole transfers, strand and cable placement, pulling, lashing, hardware installation & safe equipment use.* Maintain clear field communication, keep work areas and equipment organized, restore job sites & verify compliant traffic control.**Crew Leadership & Coordination:*** Report job progress, production, material needs, schedule concerns, quality issues and field conditions to the Project Manager, project coordinators & quality-control personnel.* Coordinate professionally with customers, utility representatives, inspectors, property owners and the public when addressing routine field questions or job-site concerns.* Coach crew members, monitor attendance, conduct and productivity & promptly escalate significant performance or employee-relations concerns to the Project Manager.* Inspect completed work for compliance with construction prints, customer specifications, quality standards and applicable codes before leaving the work area.**Safety & Compliance:*** Enforce OSHA and Company safety requirements, inspect for hazards before and during work, stop operations for imminent danger or uncontrolled hazards, and promptly report incidents, injuries, property damage, and near misses.* Lead and document daily Job Hazard Analyses and tailboard meetings, communicate task assignments and identified controls, and confirm that crew members understand the work plan before operations begin.* Ensure crews maintain required clearances and minimum approach distances from energized lines and that only trained and qualified personnel perform work requiring those qualifications, consistent with Company procedures and applicable safety requirements.* Verify that crew members use required PPE and that it is inspected, maintained, and replaced according to Company requirements.* Represent the Company professionally while on the road and at job sites.* Perform other duties as assigned.## Qualifications3. **Position Requirements****Formal Education & Certification:*** High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential required.* A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a driving record meeting Company requirements are required. The employee must remain eligible to operate assigned Company vehicles and obtain or maintain any CDL required for assigned vehicles or equipment.**Knowledge & Experience:*** Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in aerial telecommunications, utility construction, or related construction work is preferred. Demonstrated aerial construction proficiency and readiness to lead a small crew may substitute for formal supervisory experience.**Qualifications & Characteristics:*** Ability to organize daily work, give clear instructions, coach employees, monitor crew performance, resolve routine field issues, and escalate safety, quality, schedule, or employee-relations concerns.* Ability to interpret construction prints, utility maps, work orders, permits, and customer specifications; maintain accurate field records; and communicate professionally with employees, customers, contractors, utility representatives, inspectors, property owners, and the public.* Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the scheduled workday.* Must be able to work for extended periods on uneven, sloped, or rough terrain and repeatedly kneel, crouch, bend, stoop, and twist while performing construction tasks.* Must be able, when assigned and properly trained, to climb ladders or poles and access elevated work platforms in accordance with Company safety procedures and applicable fall-protection requirements.* Applicants must be able to wear personal protective equipment (“PPE”).* Ability to work in areas where energized utility lines may be present while following required clearances, work-zone controls, and Company safety procedures.**Work Environment:**Work is performed in warehouses, material yards, along roadways, and at outdoor construction sites in heat, cold, humidity, rain, wind, dust, mud, noise, traffic, and seasonal temperature changes.
