Air Methods in Granite City, IL seeks a qualified clinical flight crew member to deliver pre-hospital advanced life support. You will participate in pre-mission briefings, care for patients from scene to hospital transfer, and maintain equipment and regulatory training to ensure safety and efficiency of helicopter transports.

Ideal candidates hold a HS diploma/GED with 3+ years in busy 911 systems and may have a bachelor's degree in a health field.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED and at least three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred
• Minimum three (3) years' recent experience in a busy 911 system
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus

Responsabilidades

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care transfer to the accepting medical facility; maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Practice within defined scope of practice as established by state regulations and Air Methods CBS; maintain competency through ongoing experiences.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, aviation and safety training, OSHA and HIPAA training.
• Maintain equipment and supplies onboard aircraft; report failures and ensure repair; keep aircraft clean and ready for rapid response.
• Participate in patient follow-up, referring institution communication, and outreach activities.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings; assist pilot as requested; comply with safety standards.
