Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Flight Nurse to join our team of air transportation experts, delivering safe, efficient patient care in critical situations. You will assess patients, support physicians, and maintain a compliant aircraft environment to ensure top safety standards.

Applicants should hold a current RN license, EMT/Trauma certification where required, and CFRN within 24 months. A $7,000 annual area stipend is offered and two 24-hour shifts per week form the schedule.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification where required.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS prior to flight status (NRP provided during training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine the best course of action for patient care in critical situations.
• Manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe aircraft environment with equipment and base checks and comply with safety standards.
• Collaborate and communicate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
