Job summary

The MUSC Lancaster Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to join our fast-paced Emergency Department. You will work under RN supervision, performing ED tech duties and providing critical support to patients and staff.

Experience with EKG, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring is preferred. A South Carolina EMT license with BLS is required; ACLS/PALS and NIHSS may be needed for unit operations.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• South Carolina EMT license is required; AEMT preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS/PALS may be required if unit demands.
• NIHSS stroke scale training may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED support under RN supervision in a fast-paced ER.
• Perform routine ED tech duties and assist clinical staff.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during care.
