Overview:

Our client, a global leader in AI and digital transformation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Technical Lead to lead a critical migration project to AEM 6.5 for a prominent financial services client. This role demands deep technical expertise in headless CMS architecture, GraphQL integration, and enterprise-scale AEM implementations. You’ll lead a high-performing team to deliver scalable, future-ready digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust, scalable web applications using Adobe Experience Manager 6.5.
• Lead the migration from legacy platforms to a modern headless AEM architecture.
• Build and maintain custom AEM components, editable templates, workflows, and content fragments.
• Integrate AEM with third-party services and enterprise platforms using GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Implement headless delivery using AEM Content Services and GraphQL APIs to support decoupled front ends.
• Collaborate with UX designers, front-end developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure code quality via unit testing, code reviews, and best development practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize AEM applications for performance, security, and compliance in regulated environments.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on architecture, design, and development practices.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and offshore/nearshore teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including AEM 6.5.
• 2+ years of experience with GraphQL and headless CMS implementations.
• Deep understanding of AEM technologies: Sling, OSGi, JCR, HTL/Sightly.
• Experience with AEM Content Fragments, JSON exports, and Content Services.
• Strong Java/J2EE background and backend development skills.
• Proven experience integrating AEM with GraphQL/REST APIs and external systems.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Strong DevOps know-how: Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, and deployment to Adobe Managed Services (AMS) or AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., finance, banking, insurance) is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) – AEM Sites Developer or Architect.
• Experience with Adobe Analytics, Target, or Launch.
• Background in digital personalization and optimization strategies.
• Prior experience in enterprise CMS migration projects within the financial sector.
