Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior AEM Backend Developer based in Spain to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager and Java, with a strong emphasis on robust architecture and high-quality code.

Qualifications

  • Professional backend development experience with a strong focus on Java.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Strong understanding of AEM architecture and core building blocks.
  • Experience extending AEM functionality and working with administrative features.
  • Expertise in developing WCM components, custom integrations, and enterprise applications.
  • Practical knowledge of JCR, Sling, Felix, OSGi, REST, JavaScript, and JSON.
  • Experience using Maven and familiarity with AEM Maven archetypes.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Build and extend AEM components, services, integrations, and administrative functionality to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and support Web Content Management (WCM) components and enterprise applications.
  • Implement and maintain integrations using REST APIs and related web technologies.
  • Work with AEM frameworks including JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, and OSGi to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Manage project dependencies and builds using Maven and AEM Maven archetypes.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers and other technical teams to deliver seamless end-to-end digital experiences.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure code quality through best development practices.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
