Job summary

Collin College seeks an instructor to provide educational instruction in Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) non-credit courses, covering ESL, RLAD, and Math/Science per syllabus and grant schedule. Schedules may include day, evening, weekend, and online offerings.

This 100% grant-funded role requires knowledge of Canvas, Teams, and Zoom, and a commitment to Collin College's mission and core values. Bachelor's degree and teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of one year proven work experience training/teaching adults.
• Proficiency with Canvas, Teams and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Review student assessments and set goals within the first week.
• Track student hours in TEAMS.
• Integrate approved Distance Learning Curriculum when applicable.
• Complete daily class attendance rosters and document absences.
• Maintain familiarity with textbooks, materials, and teaching tools.
• Revise course content and teaching methods to stay current.
• Submit staff forms on time and follow timelines.
• Notify supervisor of student support needs and document referrals.
