Job summary

SAIC invites a qualified engineer to support Test & Evaluation of Foreign Military Sales AEGIS systems at the Navy Yard, Washington, DC. You will help develop test scenarios, validate resources, and advise the Test Officer across multiple government and contractor teams.

Ideal candidates have shipboard or lab AEGIS experience, a SECRET clearance, and strong budgeting skills, with travel up to 25%. This hybrid role may require on-site and occasional remote collaboration within US contexts.

Qualifications

• AEGIS Combat System experience on shipboard or in lab.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering and 5 years experience or 4 additional years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Active SECRET security clearance.
• Previous US Navy active duty Senior Enlisted or Officer.
• Expert with DoD Systems Engineering processes.
• Experience with DoD budgeting and financial systems.
• Experience with Test and Evaluation Engineering.
• Up to 25% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support Test & Evaluation of FMS AEGIS ships and weapons systems.
• Coordinate across government and contractor teams to plan PEAR-like processes.
• Assist in budgeting, milestones, and deliverables management.
• Provide senior technical and engineering support to Test Officer.
• Travel to FMS countries and US ranges as required.
