Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineer to support T&E of FMS AEGIS ships and weapons systems at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC. The role requires coordinating with multiple teams, managing budgets, and translating capabilities into Test Objectives using the PEAR process.

You will work across time zones in a distributed group, communicate with diverse engineers and foreign customers, and occasionally represent the Test Officer in planning meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline with 5 years’ experience or 4 additional years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• AEGIS Combat System operational/technical experience (shipboard or lab).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Previous US Navy active duty Senior Enlisted or Officer.
• SWO qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Test and Evaluation (T&E) of AEGIS surface ships and weapons systems.
• Manage PEAR process and coordinate across government and contractor teams.
• Assist budgeting and financial management for test programs in the $Ms range.
• Develop test scenarios and validate resources to meet test objectives.
• Travel up to 25% to FMS countries, US ranges, and warfare centers.
