Job summary

US Eye seeks a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join a growing surgical practice. The role requires strong patient interaction, the ability to learn quickly, and skill in scribing, patient work-up, vision testing, and refracting.

Responsibilities include assisting the physician in the room, conducting visual field and OCT testing, and traveling to various North Carolina locations as needed to support clinics.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer service focus.
• Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
• High school or equivalent education.

Job Summary

We are seeking a full‑time Ophthalmic Technician who is self‑motivated and has a strong work ethic to join our successful surgical practice! Candidates must possess a positive professional attitude, ability to develop strong connections with our patients, treat patients with warmth and empathy, are team oriented and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their daily work. The right candidate will possess skills of an Ophthalmic Technician and will have experience in scribing, patient work‑up, vision testing, refracting, medical terminology, assisting the physician in the room, visual field and OCT testing.

Education and Experience

• Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
• Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
• High school or equivalent education

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full‑time traveling position from Washington NC, Kinston NC, Elizabeth City NC and Kitty Hawk NC.
• Travel to other locations is required.
