Job summary

US Eye in North Carolina is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our surgical practice in Kinston. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong work ethic, able to develop warm connections with patients, and work well in a team.

You will perform scribing, patient work-up, vision testing, refracting, medical terminology, assist the physician in the room, and conduct visual field and OCT testing. Travel to nearby locations is required (Kinston to Washington).

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer service focus.
• Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
• High school or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Perform scribing, patient work-up, and basic vision testing.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures in the room.
• Conduct refraction, visual field, and OCT testing as needed.

Job Summary:

The right candidate will possess skills of an Ophthalmic Technician and will have experience in scribing, patient work-up, vision testing, refracting, medical terminology, assisting the physician in the room, visual field and OCT testing.

Education and Experience:

• Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus


• Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)


• High school or equivalent education

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position located in Kinston NC


• Travel to other locations is required. (most travel will be between Kinston NC to Washington NC)
