Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 12+ years of public accounting audit experience.
• Significant experience working with Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) clients.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
• Proven leadership and client management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience participating in business development and practice growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) clients.
• Oversee audit planning, execution, financial statement review, and final reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable auditing standards, accounting guidance, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing strategic financial and operational insights.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across the AEC sector.
• Mentor, develop, and oversee audit staff and managers.
• Collaborate with internal leadership to improve efficiencies and support practice growth.
• Identify engagement risks and implement strategies to mitigate exposure.
• Participate in business development efforts, including sourcing new clients and expanding existing relationships.
• Review audit workpapers and deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Stay current on industry trends, accounting updates, and regulatory developments impacting AEC clients.
