The City of Pleasanton is seeking a Water Exercise Instructor for the Library and Recreation Department. This part-time, temporary role will lead deep- and shallow-water classes for the active adult community, primarily on Wednesday mornings with potential substitutions for other mornings and evenings.

• Certified through the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) or qualified to lead aquatic fitness.
• Experience teaching deep- and shallow-water classes.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Customer service-minded with effective communication.
• Dependable and able to work independently while ensuring safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep- and shallow-water exercise classes on Wednesday mornings.
• Serve as substitute instructor for additional morning and evening classes as needed.
• Develop safe, engaging aquatic fitness routines for active adults.
• Provide clear instruction and modifications for varying abilities.
• Monitor participants and pool environment for safety and enjoyment.
• Foster a cheerful, inclusive, and professional class atmosphere.
