City Care Inc. in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Advocate to support neighbors facing poverty, homelessness, mental illness and substance use. You will work with a team to connect guests with services and housing resources, while upholding compassion and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes carrying out City Care’s mission, building community partnerships and helping guests access housing stability through coordinated services. Three shifts available with full-time and part-time options.

Qualifications

Understanding the intersection of poverty, homelessness, mental illness, substance use and recovery.
Cool under pressure.
Computer literate with error-free data entry.
Ability to multitask.
Team player to accomplish shared goals.
Reliable transportation.
Pre-employment background check, driving record and UA.

Responsibilities

Carry out the mission, vision and values of City Care.
Develop a network of collaborative partners.
Encourage guests in receiving services that will result in housing stability.
Participate in a team culture of professional hospitality, confidentiality, teamwork and safety among guests, interns, volunteers, staff and partners.
Assist guests in daily check ins and check outs.
Monitor storage areas and organize monthly clean-outs.
Manage inventory and proper storage of program supplies.
