Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. seeks an hourly, part-time Advocate to serve youth and families in Oxford County. The role involves organizing direct advocacy services and planning family-centered support using the wraparound model. The position offers flexible hours and weekly pay.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience with youth and families; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Mileage and activity reimbursements are provided along with other benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year experience working directly with youth and families in community, home, or school settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using an EHR system is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and car insurance required.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Job description

Summary of the Position: Hourly, part-time position serving youth and families throughout Oxford County is available.

  • Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.
  • The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage, and activity reimbursement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with working directly with youth and families in community, home, or school settings.
  • Provide quality documentation, progress notes, and submitted within required deadlines.
  • General knowledge of client development, family dynamics, behavioral management techniques, and local community resources.
  • Skills in effective communication, maintaining relationships with social service providers, and coaching/training youth in age-appropriate behaviors and problem solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
  • Flexible Schedule - May require evenings and weekends
