Job summary

Bay Area Turning Point seeks a results-driven leader to supervise the Advocacy Department and coordinate services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. You will guide crisis intervention, legal advocacy, and community outreach, ensuring compliance with funding sources and program guidelines.

You will oversee staff, manage relationships with police, hospitals, and rental agencies, and support strategic collaborations.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing people and programs in a nonprofit or social services setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; 4-year degree with related admin/program experience or equivalent work history accepted if demonstrated effectiveness.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, priorities, and caseloads while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, and crisis management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of advocacy staff and volunteers.
  • Provide direct advocacy and crisis intervention services to clients.
  • Maintain client records per compliance requirements of BATP and funding sources.
  • Coordinate collaboration with police, hospitals, and community agencies.
  • Facilitate trainings, workshops, and community outreach to educate and prevent violence.
  • Oversee program entry/exit and ensure budget targets are met.
  • Adhere to BATP Confidentiality Policy and organizational mission.
  • Possess on‑call availability and occasional non‑traditional hours.
