Job summary

Qualifications

  • Licensed professional counselor or licensed social worker with at least 1 year of experience with children and youth
  • Excellent written and spoken communication; ability to convey concepts to supporters and volunteers
  • Experience working with victims of violence and trauma, including sexual assault and child abuse
  • Must have valid driver's license and be able to operate with 1-hour on-call status

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update counseling plans based on assessment data and victimization history
  • Provide family, individual, and group counseling, including services in schools
  • Deliver direct advocacy and follow-up with victims and secondary victims
  • Coordinate collaboration with law enforcement, courts, schools, and community providers
  • Supervise staff in Chambers County and manage interns
  • Maintain compliant client records and report outcomes
