Job summary

Boston College Law School seeks a Director of Advocacy Programs to lead its Advocacy Program within the Center for Experiential Learning. Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Director will provide leadership for a program serving 100+ students annually through mock trial, moot court, negotiation, client counseling, and other advocacy experiences.

The role includes teaching, materials development, competition coordination, volunteer recruitment, events, communications, and strategic budgeting

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited program.
• Minimum of five years of relevant legal practice in a litigation setting.
• Experience and excellence in litigation, including oral advocacy.
• Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience.
• Ability to teach, train, or supervise.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach students in advocacy programs.
• Develop and oversee training and simulation materials for advocacy.
• Coordinate in-house and external competitions.
• Recruit and support adjunct coaches, judges, and volunteers.
• Lead budget planning and strategic initiatives for the Advocacy Program.
