Job summary

Citizen Action of New York is seeking a Communications Coordinator for the Invest in Our New York project. You will develop and implement a narrative strategy to advance a progressive economic worldview and support the campaign's demands, reporting to the Campaign Manager.

The role covers coalition messaging, media outreach, content for social media and the website, and training grassroots spokespeople. Based anywhere in NYS with travel to NYC and Albany as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have at least 4 years of directly relevant experience developing and managing strategic communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop coalition communications strategy and messaging in partnership with Campaign Manager and members.
• Coordinate materials/media production including print and online content for the campaign.
• Monitor media and draft statements in response to major news events.
