Job summary

Maher Duessel is seeking Advisory Supervisors to join our firm. Advisory Supervisors perform duties akin to Advisory Senior while expanding review responsibilities, scheduling, and client involvement.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or related field to qualify for CPA licensure.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Government and non-profit experience preferred.
• CPA preferred; CGFM, CFE, CITP encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff and senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop people by delegating tasks and guiding staff.
• Provide performance feedback and training; complete evaluations.
• Foster an efficient, team-oriented work environment.
• Use technology to improve service delivery and efficiency.
• Direct daily work on client accounting and advisory engagements; plan and supervise engagement phases.
• Maintain relationships with client management and assess satisfaction.
• Understand client operations and adapt service approach to client needs.
• Lead client accounting and advisory projects such as financial statements and internal controls assessments.
• Prepare or review client deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Identify process improvements for clients and communicate risks to leadership.
• Review staff work and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Continue to improve public speaking and promote firm reputation.
