Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a Development Specialist (Advancement Professional II) to support donor engagement, advisory boards, and fundraising operations within the Fowler College of Business. You will coordinate boards, communications, and stewardship strategies while analyzing fundraising data to strengthen development programs.

You will collaborate with URAD and campus partners, handling CRM data, reporting, and events to enhance donor participation and college priorities.

Qualifications

Equivalent to a bachelor\'s degree and two years of relevant experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in higher education or nonprofit fundraising is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate advisory board engagement and activities.
Develop donor communications, outreach campaigns, and stewardship activities.
Manage donor relations, acknowledgement, and events for annual and major gifts.
Maintain donor and prospect information using CRM systems and research tools.
Prepare gift agreements, fund documentation, and financial reports supporting development activities.
Track budgets and assist with development operations and administrative support.
