Job summary

Liminal is seeking an Associate to build the analysis behind client recommendations. You will take a defined question, gather evidence, and produce work a Senior Associate or Manager can use in client conversations.

The role involves market studies, due diligence, war games, and competitive assessments, with hands-on access to client material and platform data. You’ll learn to own a question end-to-end, advancing from Associate to Senior Associate as you contribute to live engagements and grow

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in management or strategy consulting, investment banking, equity research, corporate strategy, or a similar analytical role.
• Ability to structure an unfamiliar problem and break it down.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; comfortable with Google Workspace.
• Experience conducting primary research and interviews.

Responsibilities

• Build the analysis behind a workstream: market sizing, competitor comparisons, buyer research, and financial models.
• Run primary research: draft interview guides, conduct interviews, turn findings into conclusions.
• Work with platform data and compare with external sources; flag when the standard answer is not fit.
• Build audit-friendly Excel models and concise PowerPoint pages for a CEO read in 10 seconds.
• Write the first version of your section with a point of view, not a data dump.
• Own quality control: verify numbers, cite sources, flag uncertainties.
• Support live client sessions with pre-reads, materials, and post-meeting follow-ups.
